Top 5 Places to Visit During Your Free Time
Top 5 Places to Visit During Your Free Time
There are several ways to spend extra time. We all promise ourselves that when we get the time we will dedicate our efforts to our own leisure. Sometimes it never happens. With this post today I hope to help you plan out some 'must-do's' for your summer. Also it is important to stay cost efficient so I'll indicate if each activity is free or low cost. Happy Summer!
1.College Library
Nothing is sexier than a woman who reads. Besides there is a treasure chest of resources at the library. Movies, music and audio books are at your disposal for free. You can research a new recipe or check out a book on hosting a dinner party. The possibilities are endless. Better yet, each library has local events and classes are free. Take a yoga class or brush up on Microsoft Excel to improve your resume. All you need is a driver's license with your address and you can receive your library card. Be careful of late fees-those aren't free or fun.
2. Deserted Beach
Why not stretch out your pretty fins at local beach? The best time to go is right after the families and parties are packing up. After 4pm the sun is settling and breeze is flowing softly. You can host a private picnic or go for a peaceful dip before nightfall. The lighting is perfect for selfies so be ready to post. All this scene needs is a beautiful red wine and cheese platter.
3. High End Mall
Let's be clear-you do not have to spend a dime at the mall. The design and ambience is enough to bask in without dipping into your bill money. However, if you go to the higher end malls or shopping centers there is a diamond in the rough...the food court! It seems the rich do eat better. Try the happy hour or lunch menu at the high end eateries so you can get a taste of cuisine. Check the times and specials before you arrive. Dress up like a doll and enjoy.
4. Drive In Movies
This is not a new concept but many people are experiencing drive-in theaters for the first time. Benefits include: intimate viewing pleasure, ability to bring your own food or takeout and temperature control. What could be better than watching a new movie without the whispering and obnoxious laughing from a crowded theater on opening night?
5. Yogurt Shop
Believe it or not the new hot spot is no longer your local coffee shop. Yogurt shops are the trendy and convenient. They offer wi-fi and have widescreen TV's for entertainment. The yogurt isn't that expensive and its fun to decorate with all the unnecessary toppings. Check your local spot for night time events since some shops turn down the lights and play music videos while offering discounts.
