October Bucket List

Here a a few things you must do this month! So clear your calendars and add to your to-do list. Some of these options are family fun ideas but many are just for you! Don't worry about expenses-the best thing about The Fall is the activities are affordable. It will get you in the spirit right in time for the most wonderful time of the year. You know what that is!

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

Find the best pumpkin patches in your neighborhood and visit with your family. You can find them at local nurseries or schools. When in doubt check your local newspaper. There's plenty to do there. You definitely have to get a pumpkin to carve later. Some patches have other activities like hayrides, apple bobbing or animal petting. If they serve food, you may luck up on roasted corn, apple cider or pumpkin treats. Its like a mild carnival with no rides so dress light.

Go Trunk-or-Treating

Believe it or not- times have changed. Many schools, communities and organizations are changing the way we do Halloween.  Trunks are decorated and embellished,  filled with treats and are lined up for costumed kids. Its safer and requires way more creativity to keep kids engaged. Check your kids school to see if they have this option. If not, get together with your church or  sorority and host a cool event in this name sake. The fun part is that many drivers design amazing themed trunk that can be competitive and exciting.

Roast Marshmallows

It's fun to cozy up  to a fire and roast a mallow over open flames. But lets face it-ain't nobody got time for that! A creative alternative is to use your oven on broil and get similar results.  The roasted marshmallow can be a warm topping on hot cocoa or sandwiched between graham crackers for a traditional treat.

Tailgate

Whether you are rooting for a team or cheer leading for your man's team-tailgating is super fun! Get all your favorite foods and find a creative way to display it in your trunk. Bring music and speakers, a camera,  plenty of ice and of course FRIENDS!

Bake a Pie From Scratch

I always wanted to do this! There are so many recipes and fun additions to a traditional apple pie.  You can even bake this up and give it away as a gift- if it turns out right. More importantly, the smell of this yummy treat baking in the oven will truly get you in the mood. If you are a little nervous to bake anything from scratch then there are several frozen brands that will provide that sweet aroma.

Light a Scented Candle

Yes, all the blogs and reviews are true. Bath & Body Works has the best scented candles for the Fall. There are so many to choose from that are amazing...its hard to pick. You may as well buy the whole collection. There's something about lighting a Fall scented candle at dusk, sipping a latte on the couch, wearing slouchy socks while binge watching a favorite TV series.

Wear UGG Boots

Something about Australian Ugg boots puts you in the mood for Fall. The collections are fun to shop and you never have to worry about too much change. The  twin-face sheepskin is snuggled in the soles of all their shoes. I cant wait! But beware and save up your coins because Ugg boots are a pretty penny.

Make a Halloween Playlist

Rocking out to the season's tunes makes memories last. So grab a playlist of ghoulish songs that will put you in the mood. Here are some to get you started: 1. Micheal Jackson's Thriller 2. Ray Parker Jr.'s Ghost Busters 3. Brittany Spears Freakshow

Have Fun, dolls. XOXO, Mondaystyle
